テクニカ ト ヨ タ
The Katakana script. The vintage Toyoda badge. The 3D puff that hits different. If you know what TEQ means, you already know these hats are for you.
Reno-based. No minimums on custom orders. Every stitch placed where it belongs — on hats built to survive the trail and the job site.
Five styles, one obsession — the mark that launched a cult. Pick your weapon.
Most people see TEQ and read it as three Roman letters. Wrong. It's Katakana — the Japanese syllabary that Toyota used on early vehicles before the brand went global. The mark stood for Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, the original factory that built the first trucks.
When Kiichiro Toyoda changed the family name spelling from Toyoda to Toyota in 1937 — partly for luck, partly for branding — the Katakana badge stayed on production parts for decades. Land Cruiser purists, FJ40 restorers, and serious off-road heads still hunt for the original casting marks.
Our hats carry that mark with the respect it deserves. Not a logo placement. A history lesson on your forehead.

Battle Born Clothing started the same way most good things in Nevada start — out of necessity, stubbornness, and a pickup truck that refused to quit. We're a custom print shop out of Reno that got obsessed with Toyota culture because we live it. These aren't fashion hats. They're statements.
Every TEQ hat in this collection was built to the same standard as everything we run through our embroidery machines for mining companies, fire crews, and off-road race teams. Industrial-strength stitching. No minimums. Same-day quotes on custom orders.
You can wear the badge. You can earn the badge. Either way, you know what it means — and that's exactly the point.
